Empowering Your Employees Training Series

September 8 @ 9:00 am - September 15 @ 12:00 pm

September 8 and September 15, 9AM-12PM

SCMEP & Clemson University Youth Learning Institute (CUYLI) have partnered to deliver the Empowering Your Employees Training Series. This series focuses on critical communication and collaboration skills which are in high demand in today’s manufacturing environment. Facilitated by CUYLI ThinkShopsTM, the series provides both new and existing employees the opportunity to develop the skills needed for success and future career growth. Part 1 of the series is comprised of two high-impact sessions:

True Colors® Communication

Effective communication builds healthy workplace relationships. Additionally, self-awareness, self-management, and social awareness help us further develop these relationships, enhancing our ability to collaborate and innovate together. This interactive workshop includes a personality assessment and guides participants in the application of their ‘colors’ for work, home, and community environments.

Workshop participants will establish a culture that promotes the following outcomes:

  • Increase Collaboration
  • Productive Communication
  • Effective Conflict Resolution
  • Improve Problem Solving
  • Gain Respect and Trust

 Sharpen Your Edge

With many organizations looking to ‘grow their own’ and create opportunities for internal mobility, the need to strengthen the communication and interpersonal skills of the existing workforce has become more apparent.

Research and experience prove that our ability to communicate, relate, and work together is our greatest asset.  In fact, some studies suggest that individuals with high emotional intelligence tend to make more sound decisions, build collaborative relationships, and effectively manage stress and constant change. This interactive workshop will engage participants in these 21st century skills and the power of Emotional Intelligence to help navigate today’s modern workplace.

Workshop participants will establish a culture that promotes the following outcomes:

  • Enhance Self-Awareness, Self-Regulation, Social-Awareness, and Social-Regulation
  • Strengthen Personal Power
  • Develop Communication and Body Language Competencies
  • Increase Collaboration and Teamwork
