Building an Incident Response Plan: Preparing for a Cybersecurity Incident
January 12, 2022 @ 9:00 am - January 13, 2022 @ 5:00 pm
In 2012, the residing Director of the FBI uttered the now-famous quote, “There are only two types of companies: those that have been hacked, and those that will be”. By 2021, the manufacturing industry experienced a staggering 300% increase in cyber-attacks compared to the previous year. When this type of an attack occurs, it has the potential to cause chaos and disrupt business operations. A solid incident response plan, detailing the steps of what to do in the event of a serious cyber-attack, will bring order to the chaos and help your business get back to normal as quickly as possible. Join us for a workshop featuring Lizzie Tinker and Brian Kirk, cybersecurity professionals at Elliott Davis, with the goal of assisting your organization in building or enhancing your Incident Response Plan.
Lizzie has worked in the Information Technology and Cybersecurity for over 15 years and retired from the Army National Guard in 2019 with 21 years of service in the Signal and Cyber Branches. She holds multiple certifications in security, including the GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH).
Brian has more than 25 years of experience in Information Technology with the last 14 years focused on cybersecurity. His diverse background includes roles as global network manager, infrastructure manager, enterprise architect, vice president of technology and chief information security officer. Prior to joining Elliott Davis Brian was the chief information security officer at a Fortune 500 firm.
