Quality Essentials Program (QEP)
Maintaining the highest quality standards is critical in every manufacturing organization. The success of your business operations is contingent on your quality reputation in the industry.
SCMEP’s Quality Essentials Program (QEP) is designed to address the growing need for skilled quality workers in manufacturing. Taught by a seasoned quality expert, the QEP program provides training on essential quality concepts, tools, and tasks. Each workshop is held once a week over a consecutive five-week period.
Day 1: Workplace Skills – August 17, 2023
Learn the core professional skills relevant to working in a manufacturing environment, including effective communication and conflict management.
Day 2: Quality Management Systems and Basic Audit Principles – August 24, 2023
Learn the basics of Quality Management Systems including ISO9001:2015, AS9100 Rev D and IATF16949:2016 and audit principles used when conducting audits of quality systems adhering to these standards.
Day 3: Error Proofing Basics – August 31, 2023
Learn the fundamentals of identifying process challenges using PFMEA and implementing error proofing mechanisms to mitigate risk of recurrence. Gain an understanding of how Cost of Quality impacts an organization.
Day 4: Problem Solving Using PDCA, A3, RCA – September 7, 2023
Discover Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA), A3, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to effectively solve problems in the workplace.
Day 5: Quality Tools & Techniques – September 14, 2023
Learn the basics of quality improvement, quality audits, and the seven quality tools.
