OpExChange Coordinator

Basic Function:
Manage the OpExChange program for SCMEP. OpExChange is defined as a unique peer-to-peer network of companies dedicated to achieving greater levels of operational excellence. Through shared learning and collaboration, member companies exchange ideas, expertise and advice in areas such as lean manufacturing, Industry 4.0, and leadership to accelerate their pace of change, increase their competitiveness, and maintain the gains. Participation in OpExChange provides game-changing opportunities for manufacturing companies to drive improvement, growth, and renewal.
The OpExChange coordinator is responsible for ensuring value to the members, collecting feedback and acting on the input of members, aligning strategy with SCMEP leadership and the OpExChange board, promoting peer-to-peer collaboration, and propagating program growth to South Carolina manufacturers. This role is further charged to foster and promote a team centric environment with internal staff, outside industry groups, state agencies and other SCMEP partners. The coordinator must ensure the program meets financial and performance goals.
Responsibilities Include:
- Champion OpExChange through business development, with existing and new members, by executing all reasonable activities to retain current members and attract new members.
- Manage administrative support throughout the onboarding experience for new membership.
- Travel, facilitate and coordinate member events, training, and supporting activities by identifying and connecting subject matter experts to support the mission.
- Plan professional and marketing events including creating content and building appeal by increasing messaging through networking, e-platform and creative promotion.
- Edit, develop, and manage client-facing website content and appearance along with posts to social media, blogs and other e-platforms.
- Facilitate, troubleshoot and maintain OpExChange portal for user experience.
- Coordinate billing and collection of membership dues from each OpExChange member company.
- Document, communicate and share event and member value-based activity and benchmarks.
- Represent SCMEP interest by providing input to assist OpExChange Board with strategy and vision.
- Assist Regional Vice Presidents with performing client assessments and conducting surveys.
- Invest time in professional development to stay connected to industry trends and topics of interest.
- Plan plant visits and workshops ensuring uniform coverage across the state.
- Communicate regularly with member companies, assisting with collaboration and soliciting feedback.
- Track and measure engagement of member companies and individuals.
- Champion advocacy of SCMEP and SCMEP programs, especially in areas that align with the three pillars of OpExChange.
- Support and actively work to streamline the key processes required for program functionality and establish capabilities. ownership, and process responsibility for all key OpExChange administrative duties.
Skills Include:

- Well organized, meets deadlines, responsive and demonstrates a sense of urgency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of various social media platforms
- Proficient computer skills for performing various tasks and analysis
Education, Training, and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably in a technical or business discipline. Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably in supply chains, with a demonstrable record of increased responsibility and achievement. Must possess a continuous improvement mindset.
Must be willing to travel, when required, to attend networking events, conferences and other program-related activities.
Compensation:
The salary is $100,000. Compensation package also includes performance bonuses, insurance, paid time off and retirement.
