The South Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership (SCMEP) is proud to welcome two new members to their Board of Directors. The SCMEP Board of Directors is a fiduciary council that meets quarterly to guide and direct the implementations of SCMEP’s Mission—Helping South Carolina Companies Grow.
The Board’s newest members include Mr. Tyrone Ellis, Vice President of Global Integrated Supply Chain (GISC) of Club Car Ingersoll Rand, and Ms. Ann Marie Stieritz, President and CEO of the South Carolina Council on Competiveness.
Tyrone Ellis, an Ingersoll Rand (IR) employee since 2012, is the Vice President of Global Quality, Operations, and the Integrated Supply Chain for Club Car, one of Ingersoll Rand’s strategic business units. In this role, Ellis is responsible for driving the GISC strategy for Club Car to promote growth and provide a compelling brand experience and differentiated, total market solutions for IR customers. He started his tenure with IR having responsibility for developing and leading Club Car’s global Quality improvement strategy and was awarded with the IR CEO’s 2015 Global Leader of the Year Award for leading this transformation. Ellis earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Clemson University and an Executive MBA from Tulane. He holds professional certifications from SME, APICS, and ASQ.
Ann Marie Stieritz is the President and CEO of the South Carolina Council on Competitiveness in Columbia, leading all strategic and operational functions of the business-led non-profit advancing the long-term economic competitiveness of the state, its industries, and its citizens. Stieritz has over 18 years of economic and workforce development experience. Within South Carolina, her work has included serving as Deputy Executive Director of the University of South Carolina’s Office of Economic Engagement, fostering economic growth across the state of South Carolina by connecting new and existing businesses with university resources. She also served as the Vice President for Economic and Workforce Competitiveness for the SC Technical College System, overseeing the System’s nationally recognized economic and workforce development programs and was the founding Director of Apprenticeship Carolina™, which has been recognized as a national model.
