The South Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership (SCMEP) and many of MEP’s client companies gathered on Capitol Hill on March 2nd to  meet with congressional members and advocate for the MEP in the annual appropriation process.

This gathering between SCMEP associates, MEP clients, and congress is an annual event. The support for the MEP program stems from the incredible technical assistance provided by SCMEP employees to the manufacturing community in efforts to improve the industry’s competitiveness through innovative solutions to manufacturers’ product, process and people needs.

From the Office of Congressman Joe Wilson, “Congressman Wilson (SC-02) was honored to meet with members from the South Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership on March 2, 2016, in his Washington office. SCMEP is an important resource for manufacturing in South Carolina, especially small to mid-size manufacturing groups. Wilson was grateful to hear updates from SCMEP and to discuss how they continue to create jobs in South Carolina.”
