Interactive Vision Systems & Applications Workshop

This 3-hour hands-on workshop is for manufacturers who want to understand what vision systems can actually do today, and what they can’t, before spending a cent.

Two live demos will run on materials you bring from your own shop. In one, you’ll challenge an AI system to identify random objects from your pockets, your truck, or your shop floor, and watch it try to nail the answer. In the other, you’ll place documents under a camera and watch the system extract structured digital text in seconds.

In addition to demos we’ll:

  • Define vision systems in clear understandable language.
  • Go over the different types of systems you can deploy, and their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Discuss how humans interact with vision systems – both from a technical work standpoint (human-in-the-loop) and from an HR standpoint (how to get people excited
  • instead of distrustful of these systems).
  • Go through several real case studies where shops have deployed vision systems and achieved real ROI.
  • Provide you with a clear framework you can use to identify and assess potential vision systems in your shop.

There will also be plenty of time allocated to answering your questions throughout the workshop.

Who should attend:

  • Plant managers and operations leaders
  • Quality managers and inspectors
  • Safety coordinators
  • Owners of small-to-mid-size manufacturers
  • Anyone evaluating investment in vision systems, automation, or quality digitization

What to bring (for the interactive demos)

  • A document from your shop — a traveler, work order, inspection sheet, drawing, or
  • anything else you regularly handle on paper or in a file
  • A few objects (of reasonable size) from your shop, your truck, or your pocket
