What You’ll Learn
This course introduces the core principles of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies with a focus on real-world application in a manufacturing setting. Participants will learn how to contribute to process improvement projects, collect and interpret basic data, and support Green and Black Belt initiatives through hands-on tools and techniques tailored to the shop floor.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the purpose and benefits of Six Sigma and Lean in manufacturing
- Recognize the roles and responsibilities of Yellow Belts in improvement projects
- Apply basic problem-solving tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and Pareto Charts
- Identify and reduce the 8 types of waste
- Participate effectively in DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) projects
- Use visual management and standard work to sustain improvements
