For the past 15+ years my area of focus has been in public education.  I have taught grades K – 12, specializing in STEM with a Mathematics focus.  I have created units of curriculum focused on areas such as robotics, civil engineering, and mechanical engineering for use in the K-12 classrooms.  In addition, I sponsored the FIRST Robotics Team #5317, leading a group of high school students, in cooperation with engineer mentors from various local industries, building a robot to game specifications, competing at an international level.

What brought me to the world of manufacturing?  I come from a long line of machinists, electrical engineers, QC engineers and respect the work that is done in the manufacturing community.  It’s this history that led me to SCMEP.

As the Curriculum Development Specialist at SCMEP, I have a passion for making professional development relevant, interesting, and engaging for the manufacturing community and beyond.  I design and develop course content for the open enrollment and online offerings all while continually evaluate and employ emerging technologies, instructional design concepts and best practices.
